VIDEO: JUSTICE FOR WAYNE A. JONES RALLY A SUCCESS

Written by guest writer: Tony Soto

Had the pleasure to join with the people in City Of Martinsburg West Virginia today to Lead a Protest and Rally bringing attention back to Wayne A Jones an unarmed man who was murdered execution style by 5 Martinsburg Police Officers Known as MP5. As we gathered on the corners of 232 Queen Street we were quickly met with a heavy Police Presence. Yet that didn’t stop the individuals in attendance from gathering and demanding Justice on behalf of Mr.Jones and a transparent Police department that will equally apply justice not by ones skin color or job occupation , but by ones humanity.

As we continued to gather and Protest on the corners with signs from ” A Badge is not a License To Kill ” to “Justice For Wayne Jones” Or “What Happen To Protect & Serve Not Comply Or Die” we began to make our way to one side of the street where I would address the public and demonstrate that we are fed up with Police Officers Murdering Or Men, Women and Children getting away with it and not facing equal justice. Wayne Jones Brother took a moment to address the individual gathered to express his hurt about his brothers murder. Before we decided to take the street and March to the street Mr. Jones was murdered on I took a moment to lead those gathered in prayer and Give Honor to God and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Something very Powerful happened in Martinsburg West Virginia with a Lieutenant and other police officers . When calling for prayer and asked if any Officers would join us. He got off his bike along with other Officers and Sergeants and joined hands with the people. This is CHANGE! This Is How You End Police Brutality. He wasn’t worried about what people would think of him and neither were the other officers . Let this serve as a example to the world that we can do this together! This is Changing The World One Person At A Time! Yesenia Cruz Rand Cadmus

As we made our way towards the county courthouse Martinsburg Police cleared traffic and blocked the streets as we peacefully Marched and Shouted Justice For Wayne Jones, Who Streets Our Streets, No Justice No Peace No Racist Police and what do you want Justice and When Do you want It NOW! Arriving where Mr. Jones was Brutality Murdered at a moment of silence was given in honor of him and Rand Cadmus reminded us of how Mr. Jones was murdered and the horrific details of that night. We were reminded the reason why we stand together on this day. Not only for Wayne Jones but everyone who has lost their loves regarding Police Brutality. As we continued from there and around the corner to the County Court House Building we were met with City Officials And Police Standing On the Inside Of the Building doors and they were met with our heavy out cry for justice.

Powerful Speeches delivered at Martinsburg West Virginia Court House. The People Who Spoke Were Powerful!

As I begin to deliver my speech I wanted to be very direct and confident in what I was saying so I faced the individuals standing inside them doors to remind them of how the allowed an unarmed man to be murdered and his murder covered up. In addition, that the days of Murdering Black men , women, and children are over and left in the 1960’s. This is 2015 and we will not stand by silently while Police terrorist Murder the people. We want justice and accountability Now! That God created us all equal and that Jesus Loves each and every one of us and we need to love each other rather than hate. Followed by me other activist including Rand Cadmus expressed there pleas for Change and Justice. As we finished and Marched Back to where we came from not taking the street this time but rather the sidewalk. It seemed the voices of the people grew and onlookers were definitely shocked at the large number of people in at tendency for change.
In a mouth dropping turn of events as we concluded the rally giving Honor to God in Jesus name again, we asked for the Police to join us in prayer while holding hands and praying for a change and to soften the hearts of the Police towards the people , some of them immediately joined with us and we ended the March. I believe this is not only the beginning of change for Martinsburg Virginia but Healing , Justice and the start of transparent Police Officers.

I believe that a second look at Mr. Jones’ case will come and Justice will come for Wayne A Jones and the Officers who murdered him jailed or fired from their position . It may not happen over night but with the ongoing out cry for justice from the people and myself it seems inevitable. Change starts with each and every last one of us. We may not can change the world at once, But we can Change the World One Person At A Time To End Police Brutality And the Hate that separates us as a people.

My mission will always remain clear. As the Bible says Love covers a multitude of sins if we love our neighbor as we love our-self we can end this war. Wayne joins wouldn’t be dead if he was loved and not hated by killer cops. We must work together as a people – as a community as Martinsburg West Virginia did on this day to stand in the face of injustice and say. “WE ARE NOT TAKING IT ANYMORE!! WE WANT JUSTICE FOR WAYNE JONES AND WE STAND TOGETHER AS ONE FOR IT NOW!
